Eldon’s Automotive & Eurotech Auto Service was founded in 1991 and became a trusted part of the Columbus automotive community. Over the years, local drivers came to rely on the shop for professional vehicle care, knowledgeable service, and personal attention. That history established a strong foundation for the next chapter of the business.
In 2023, Advanced Auto Care owner Matt Bozarth acquired Eldon’s Automotive & Eurotech Auto Service, bringing together two locally established automotive businesses with similar values. For Matt, the opportunity was about more than expanding Advanced Auto Care. It was an opportunity to continue serving his hometown of Columbus while preserving the customer relationships and commitment to quality that Eldon’s had built over decades. Eldon’s Automotive is now Advanced Auto Care, but the commitment to Columbus drivers remains. The shop continues to provide professional auto repair and maintenance while benefiting from the resources, technology, and support of the Advanced Auto Care team.
The Advanced Auto Care Story
Advanced Auto Care was founded in Bloomington in 1998 by Andy Koontz. A lifelong Monroe County resident, Andy built the business around customer service, education, honesty, and quality workmanship. As its reputation grew, the shop expanded to support more customers while maintaining the personal approach that helped establish its success.Matt Bozarth met Andy in 2005 after gaining experience on the parts side of the automotive industry. Having worked with many repair facilities, Matt recognized that Advanced Auto Care stood apart through its transparency, customer service, and commitment to doing what was right. Those principles became the foundation for Matt’s leadership after Andy retired in 2018.Because You Can’t Buy TrustToday, Advanced Auto Care carries those values forward in both Bloomington and Columbus. The Columbus location combines the history of Eldon’s Automotive with Advanced Auto Care’s commitment to honest recommendations, clear communication, and customer-focused service.
